The celebrated designer duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla were assigned the task of designing costumes for Aishwarya Rai for the film ‘Umrao Jaan‘ by the film’s director J.P. Dutta.

Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla were the designers for the Bachchans and is already started the work on the clothes of Aishwarya Rai - celebrated beauty queen of India and former Miss World.

It remains to be seen whether Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla do live up to the expectations of J.P. Dutta and millions of Aishwarya Rai fans, in costuming one of the most beautiful women in the world.

Hollywoods’ latest sensation Aishwarya Rai is slated to play in in the third ‘Asterix’ film with French actor Gérard Depardieu and Belgian superstar Jean-Claude van Damme.

The film will be directed by Frederic Forestier and will start filming in nine months and the release date is set for 2007. The film is set during the ancient Olympic games, although further details on Aishwarya Rai’s role is not known yet.
