Face of India & Beauty Queen Aishwarya Rai staged a spectacular show in the closing ceremony of the 18th Commonwealth Games in Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne, Australia.

Aishwarya Rai took time to practice dance amid her busy schedule and spent 34 hours to fly to Melbourne in the weekend, to present a breathtaking song and dance spectacle.

Commonwealth Games, the world’s second largest sporting event after the Olympic, will be hosted by Indian Capital Delhi in 2010. Thus the showcasing of next host nations diverse culture, magnificent landscape and rich heritage on concluding day of A$1.1 billion (US$827 million) event which featured 71 teams of athletes across 53 Commonwealth nations.

Chief Minister of Delhi Ms Shiela Dikshit received the Commonwealth Games Federation flag from Steve Bracks, Premier of the Australian state of Victoria, Delhi is the official host of the event in 2010.

Aishwarya Rai is to perform a dance ballet in Melbourne Commonwealth Games closing cermony later this month.

According to the news, Aishwarya Rai will be performing along with other Bollywood stars Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukerji, Lara Dutta and Priyanka Chopra.

900 strong performers from India will be participating in the cultural contingent at the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games.

Singers Sonu Nigam, Sunidhi Chauhan, Shreya Ghoshal, Blaaze, choreographer Shiamak Davar, percussion maestros Taufiq Qureshi and Sivamani will give live performances in the cultural extravaganza planned and a tribute to Yoga by Actress and dancer Isha Sherwani.

Aishwarya Rai Dance will be the final event of the show.

Will Smith, star of Hollywood mega hits Men In Black, Hitch and current production Pursuit of Happiness is travelling India to launch Sony Entertainment’s new English language movie channel, Pix and to be a guest on Indian Idol, the country’s version of American Idol.

The actor was impressed by bollywood said, “I am simply enticed to be part of it,” and further he added ”I also want to explore the possibility of a collaboration between.”

He likes Aishwarya Rai so much, revealed, ”I love her so,” and he said ”I would do anything that Aishwarya Rai will be part of.”

“She has a powerful energy. She doesn’t have to say anything, she doesn’t have to do anything. Whatever she wants to make, I’m there,” the hollywood star told about his readyness to act with the Indian beauty queen Aishwarya Rai.
